Aeysha Ahmad.jpg

Aeysha Ahmed — @aeyshanails

Founder and CEO: AEYSHA

Aeysha has spent the past year creating a purpose built nail polish formula for Muslim women and other marginalised groups within the beauty industry. She doesn’t believe in unnecessary barriers for muslim women to wear nail varnish & felt marketing by other brands towards muslim women too vague and left them wondering whether or not they could actually use the stuff people were selling. This is why unlike other brands during the development of her product, they directly engaged with Islamic institutions to understand exactly what would make a nail varnish product suitable for Muslim prayer. Most nail products create a layer that water cannot pass, which interrupts a cleansing ritual Muslims do before prayer. In this ritual water is supposed to touch the surface of the body. Aeysha’s nail polish formulas have pores, which water diffuses through so it touches your hands when you wash them. Her formulas also cater to vegans, pregnant women and those undergoing chemotherapy.

Vasu Sarin — @Tab_Care

Founder and CEO: TabCare

Vasu Sarin is the Founder and CEO of Tab Care Limited, a health-tech start-up. He founded the company in 2017, during his second year of University, after his grandmother had a bad fall to the side of his house. She did not want to adopt any of the products available in the market at the time and so he produced a solution that would fit her needs as well as those of the wider social care community.
